Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell. Her most well-known role is her performance as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the only daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a household worker. She grew up within a household which included four brothers. She dreamed of becoming a court reporter in childhood but started modelling while at high school, eventually earning commercials following her move to New York. She was cast as a young innocent in 1981's soap opera All My Children. Since then Delaney has been in a variety of film and television dramas. Like her career but her personal life hasn't been happy or successful. The talented actress has struggled with alcoholism throughout her life and has been through two marriages that failed. Her custody in 2005 was taken away from her.
